Answers to common questions about what Accurao Reviewer checks, the files it needs, data handling and beta participation.
Is my client data safe?
You should assess the actual controls rather than rely on a badge. Access is per-user and enforced at the database level, so information uploaded under one firm's login is not visible to users at another firm.
AI processing uses Anthropic's Claude API under commercial terms, which exclude customer inputs from model training and do not retain prompts or responses after the response is returned. Full sub-processor and transfer detail is provided in writing before access.
Does it replace my review?
No, and it isn't built to. It performs a defined set of arithmetic and consistency checks and assesses whether certain disclosures appear present. It does not exercise professional judgement, assess whether an accounting treatment is appropriate, or form a view on whether the accounts give a true and fair view. It makes no compliance guarantee.
Your review is still your review. This narrows what it has to catch.
What files do I need?
Provide the statutory financial statements as a text-readable PDF. Add the trial balance for trial balance mapping, and the fixed asset register if you want the fixed asset register cross-check.
Prior-year statutory accounts are retrieved directly from Companies House. A scanned or photographed PDF without extractable text is outside the current scope; PDFs exported from accounts-production systems are suitable.
Which accounts-production systems does it work with?
Accurao Reviewer works from the exported financial statements rather than integrating with the system that produced them. You provide a PDF from Caseware, IRIS, TaxCalc or another accounts-production system, together with the supporting information required for the selected checks.
Nothing is installed and nothing is written back into the accounts-production workflow.
What does it cost?
The invitation-only beta runs from 1 to 30 September 2026 and is completely free. Participation will not automatically convert into a paid service. Any future pricing will be communicated and agreed separately.
